Inspiring Learning, Valuing All

The Great Fire of London

This week, Year 1 & 2 continued their work on the Great Fire of London by recreating this historic event! After building Tudor houses they then took them to the playground and set them alight…starting with the bakery!

Buddies

Our year 6 children have really helped the new Receptions settle in and have formed such strong friendships already…

Year 6 Bug Hunting

Today Year 6 went into the woods to look for bugs!

Surprisingly, we actually found quite a bit…including some beetles that left a stink as their defense mechanism!

Petie Burkis Special

Today, we tried a Petie Burkis Special…a new type of bread inspired by our class book ‘The Midnight Fox’

It was a hit!!! Surprising really, as it contained pickles, spam, sausage and lots of cheese!

Mr Ashman was a massive fan!

Bewilderwood Trip

Reception had an amazing school trip to Bewilderwood! We whizzed down slides, climbed and clambered, built dens, and listened to stories in the woods. What a busy and exciting day!

I’m a Year 6, Get Me Out Of Here!

Today in year 6, we were discussing the impact of our food on the environment. As a result, we were trying Barbecue flavoured Mealworms…with class points on offer! (I didn’t have any gold stars!)

Everyone in the class tried them…although not all managed to finish them…and I did think that one or two children almost threw up!

Aylmerton 2018

What an amazing trip we had!!

Here you will find a small amount of the HUNDREDS on photographs we took during our amazing week at Aylmerton. Enjoy!

A very curious cafe!

A huge thank you to all of our grown-ups who were brave enough to join us on our recent learning adventure! We learnt about the ‘Learning Pit’, faced a very tricky challenge independently and learnt how to manage when we feel we are stuck. We are really enjoying saying ‘I’ve got myself out of the pit!’
