This week (Tuesday 17th March) year 5 & 6 had a little taste of the Rio Carnival as they took part in their South American Carnival day!
All of the children dressed up in bright and loud ‘carnival’ clothes to get in the mood for it…with some children, Caitlin Ettridge in particular, going all out with their outfits!
Activities the children took part in:
– Rio Carnival mask making,
– Samba dancing
– Samba music
– South American ‘Mola’ art
– South American food tasting (Locra – Butternut squash and Chorizo Stew)
A great day was had by all!! A massive thank you goes out to all involved that helped to make the day a HUGE success!
