Inspiring Learning, Valuing All

The last two weeks – diary from a Year 2 pupil

Monday 3rd November

In Spanish we learnt about colours.  We all drew pets and wrote a Spanish sentence on it: Esta mi …..

In the afternoon we did music. We are learning to sing the song Roar. We are also learning a Christmas song for the CD.

Wednesday 5th November

In RE we heard the story of Noah’s Ark.

Thursday 6th November

We went to the church and learned about signs and symbols. We met the Rev Sandy for the first time.

Tuesday 11th November

All of us made some poppies with the help of some parents. We then put them in the hall.  We also saw two videos about Poppy Day and why we wear poppies. We also sketched stain glass windows like the ones you would find in a church.

Thursday 13th November

Today it was our assembly.  We first did our 5x tables and talked about how important poppies are and about what we found out at the church. We also did a rap at the end of our assembly. Our rap was about ‘The Princess and the Pea’ and we learnt it with Mrs Chapman.
