Inspiring Learning, Valuing All

Literacy Cafe Friday 3rd October

On Friday 3rd October we were joined in Year 2 by about twenty enthusiastic parents and grandparents. We had a lovely time sharing with them some of the ways in which we have been learning the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, including impressing them with how well we have remembered some of the words and phrases from our reading and talking. Everyone transformed a paper plate into a giants head! Some were rather beautiful, others a little more gruesome! Then each child thought of what they giant might like to eat and wrote a rhyme in a speech bubble: “Fe-Fi-Fo-Fum. These are the things I like in my tum! Finger nail pie and roasted toys. Boiled girls and toasted boys!”

We had a fantastic time and are looking forward to sharing our leaning in our maths cafe next Half Term.

Thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who came. We hope you had as much fun as we did!IMG_0804IMG_0799IMG_0797IMG_0796IMG_0795IMG_0793IMG_0786IMG_0810
