The school is very committed to creating lots of opportunities for children to play sport. The school co-ordinates the seven Cluster Sport’s Events. Each half term there is at leat one event involving the local schools. In the academic year 2015-16 there will be rugby, cricket, cross country, athletics, (for KS1 and KS2) football, swimming and netball tournaments held at Cluster Schools. Watch out for news of our successes in these tournaments in the Friday newsletter.
Last year the boy’s football team won the Cluster Football League and also took part in the North Norfolk Small School’s Football League reaching the Semi-Final of the knock out stages, while the girl’s football team won the North Norfolk Cup before going on to come third in the county. The netball team also won the Cluster Netball League. We also took part in mixed tournaments organised by the Community Sports Foundation linked to Norwich City for Year 1 and 2, Year 3 and 4 and finally Year 5 and 6. The Year 5 and 6 mixed team made it through to final’s day.
The school has also developed links with local clubs like Ashmanhaugh Cricket Club and in 2014 the Year 3 children had the opportunity to play on the pitch at Twickenham at half time in the Premiership Rugby Final.
