Inspiring Learning, Valuing All

Curiosity Cafe

We had great fun during our Curiosity Cafe! First, we were looking at different bird beaks and seeing how they determine the type of food that birds would eat. We did this through the use of chopsticks, spoons and tweezers. After looking at these adaptations, we then created a new creature by changing some adaptations. Here are a few photographs from the day, along with our new animals…I think it is fair to say that some of the parents had more fun than the children!

Year 3 Bridewell Museum Trip October 2018

We had a great time today visiting the Bridewell Museum as part of our Norwich topic.  We especially enjoyed trying on all the hats and shoes, which were both a major industry in the city.  Thanks to all the parent helpers who joined us on our visit.

Big Draw Update

A huge thank you to all the staff, parents and children who got involved in Big Draw activities during the term. Through our Big Draw events we aimed to promote collaborative artwork involving the whole school community and  allow children to experience different art techniques whilst having fun. It was so rewarding to witness the children and  grown-ups working together and cooperating with each other. The children enjoyed getting messy and one of the best parts for me was hearing the children compliment each other’s efforts. Three words I would use to sum up the Big Draw Project this year would be marvellous, motivating and messy! I have attached some pictures  of our Creative Train of Thought project and other Big Draw related lessons.
